Gleam is a journal wholly devoted to the new poetic form, the cadralor. Co-created by two of Gleam’s editors in August, 2020, the cadralor consists of five short, unrelated, highly-visual stanzas.

This innovative form emphasizes non-narrative, imagist poetry that avoids clichés and maintains consistency in stanza length and line count. Gleam serves as the flagship journal for the cadralor, aiming to preserve the integrity of the form while encouraging its growth and exploration. The journal is committed to showcasing the work of poets who adhere to the unique rules of the cadralor, providing a platform for this emerging poetic style. Gleam's editorial team includes Lori Howe as Editor in Chief and Christopher Cadra as Senior Editor. The journal has been active since its inaugural issue in 2020 and continues to publish new issues, with Issue 9 currently available for viewing.
