When NaNoWriMo shut down, our team was bummed. We were definitely going to finish our novel this time.
So we're doing something about it: We're launching First Draft November, a free 30-day novel writing challenge.
Here's how it works:
- You'll write at least 50,000 words over 30 days
- Three times a week, we'll send prompts to guide you through your first draft
- There will be accountability check-ins to track community progress as we go
- Everything will happen on Substack, so it's easy to access and easy to follow
No pressure. Totally free. Just you, your novel, and a community of writers doing this together.
The challenge is led by Kailey DelloRusso, editor of Write or Die and the voice behind our Literary Agents for You column (fka Where to Query) on Sub Club.
